Helping Every Child Have the Opportunity to Play
At Upper Keys Legends, we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in organized youth sports, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances.
Registration fees help cover the costs of operating our league, including fields, equipment, insurance, coaching resources, and other program expenses. We understand, however, that these costs can be a challenge for some families.
Financial assistance is available to qualifying families who need help with registration costs.
Our goal is simple: we don’t want the cost of playing flag football to prevent a child from participating.
Who Can Apply?
Financial assistance is available to families participating in the Upper Keys Legends youth flag football program who are experiencing financial hardship or otherwise need assistance with registration costs.
Families may request assistance when registering their child or by contacting us directly.
We understand that every family’s circumstances are different. Requests are reviewed individually and handled respectfully and confidentially.
What Does Financial Assistance Cover?
Depending on available funding and the family’s circumstances, assistance may help with:
- League registration fees
- Program fees
- Equipment or required program items
- Other participation-related expenses
The amount of assistance available may vary depending on the family’s needs and the financial resources available to the program.

Step 2: Tell Us About Your Need
We may ask for basic information about your family and the type of assistance you are requesting.
Our goal is not to make the process unnecessarily difficult. We simply need enough information to understand the request and determine what assistance may be available.
Step 3: Receive a Decision
Requests are reviewed individually and as quickly as possible.
If assistance is approved, we will explain the amount of assistance available and how it will be applied to your child’s registration.
Confidentiality and Respect
Asking for financial assistance should never be embarrassing.
We treat financial assistance requests with respect, discretion, and confidentiality.
Our coaches and other families do not need to know whether a player receives financial assistance.
Every child who participates in Upper Keys Legends is a member of the same team and deserves the same opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun.
